Funeral services for Charles William “Chuck” Forbes III, 60, of Cornelia, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Doyal Conley and Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in B.C. Grant Baptist Church cemetery.

Mr. Forbes died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.

Born Dec. 14, 1953, in Logan County, W. Va., he was a son of the late Charles William Sr. and Emojean Workman Forbes.

Mr. Forbes was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church and attended The Torch Worship Center. He worked as a team leader with Global Tech and enjoyed ballgames, NASCAR racing and wrestling.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Chris Forbes of Cornelia; son and fiancée, Justin Forbes and Ashley Tully of Madison, W.Va.; son, Jeff L. Swanner of Cornelia; daughter, Amanda Swanner of Cornelia; grandchildren, Jayda Forbes, Haley Forbes, Nicky Forbes, Aeron Forbes, Josiah Swanner, Amarah Knox and Davian Knox, all of Cornelia, as well as Kaisinn Forbes and Jaxsinn Forbes, both of West Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Tonya Forbes of Hartwell; nephews and niece, Keith T. Forbes, Preston W. Forbes, Denver A. Forbes and Breanna K. Forbes, all of Hartwell; adopted daughter, Toni Cangiolosi Sherman of Cornelia; and ex-wife, Jean Ferrell of Madison, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
