Funeral services for Barbara Allen Williams, 69, of Clarkesville, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Mud Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. Burial followed in Hills Crossing Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams died Sunday May 11, 2014, at Emory University Hospital.

Born Sept. 25, 1944, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of Waring Allen and Addie Franklin Allen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williams.

Mrs. Williams was a retired machine operator from Piedmont Automotive and attended Mud Creek Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, sewing and gardening.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Darrell Sims of Clarkesville; daughter, Lisa Welch of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Christy Williams of Clarkesville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Grady Allen of Mt. Airy; sisters, Alpha Jane Evans and Jessie Dill, both of Mt. Airy, Oma Lee Smith and Mary Smith, both of Carnesville, and Sarah Lewallen of Lula.
