Memorial graveside services for Nannie Lou “Nan” Marrett Gunn, 98, of Clarkesville, will be held at 3 p.m. today, June 13, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Brannon officiating.

All family and friends are requested to gather at the graveside by 2:45 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Gunn died Sunday, June 8, 2014.

Born July 9, 1915, in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late James Marrett and Etta Brown Marrett. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin R. Gunn, as well as several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Gunn was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She previously owned a restaurant in Clarkesville and enjoyed quilt making and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter, Audrey Turner of Atlanta; sons, Randy Gunn of Sarasota, Fla., Ray Gunn of Nicaragua, Ronnie Gunn of Townsend, and Lewis Wilbanks of Lawrenceville; sister, Inez Cox of Jasper; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army – Georgia Division, 1000 Center Place, Norcross, GA 30093.
