No formal services are planned at this time for Lorean J. Smalley, 93, of Demorest. Mrs. Smalley’s wishes were to be cremated.

Mrs. Smalley died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Habersham Home West following an extended illness.

Born April 27, 1921, in Camden, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Martha Butcher Marks. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Wolcott; second husband, Ritchie Smalley; son, Richard Wolcott; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a Practical Nurse for many years between Ohio and Florida. Mrs. Smalley was affectionately known as Grandma to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie (Bernard) Cramer of Demorest; Sandra (Jerry) Crook of Kissimmee, Fla., and Robin (George) Marshall of Dunnellon, Fla.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
