A memorial service for Larry Vincent Seleska, 72, of Cornelia, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at B.C. Grant Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Parker, the Rev. Doyal Conley, and the Rev. Terry Rice officiating.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the memorial service.

Mr. Seleska died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at his residence.

Born May 17, 1942, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of the late Harry and Mable Farner Seleska.

Mr. Seleska was a retired supervisor with the phosphoric industry and was a member of B.C. Grant Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Seleska was also an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed carving and woodburning.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Judith Fort Seleska of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Larry Vincent Jr. and Veronica Seleska of Bradenton, Fla.; grandchildren, Brittney Jordan, Lane Seleska and Savannah Seleska, all of Bradenton, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Louie and Wilma Seleska of Quitman; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial donations be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Pkwy., Suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.
