DEMOREST APPROVES FD REPAIRS
After months of discussion, the city of Demorest has decided to move forward with repairs to the Demorest Fire Department, located on Ivy Street.
The Demorest City Council voted to hire Ram Jack for repair of the building’s foundation for $28,950. The city will also pay for renovations that would be completed by the public works department. The total cost for stabilization and renovation would be approximately $51,000. This will be paid for out of the city’s general fund.
