Funeral services for A.J. Worley, 32, of Clarkesville, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at Stonepile Baptist Church with the Rev. Connie Berry and the Rev. James Pendrey officiating. Interment will follow the service in Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery.  

Mr. Worley passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020.

Born June 10, 1988, in Habersham County, A.J. was the son of Dexter Worley, Sr. and Dorlyn Rice Worley. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Arthur Worley and J. W. Rice; and grandmother-in-law, Eula Mann. 

A.J. was an assistant foreman on the bridge and concrete crew for the Georgia Department of Transportation.  He was a member and faithful servant at Stonepile Baptist Church where he ran the sound system. A.J. was a fantastic cook, a farmer at heart, and his Lord and his family were the center of his life.  

Survivors include his wife, Lachelle Rae Worley of Clarkesville; son, Finnley Jay Worley of Clarkesville; parents, Dexter and Dorlyn Worley Sr. of Clarkesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dexter and Menissa Worley Jr., and Kevin and Ashley Worley, both of Clarkesville; sister, Michelle Worley (fiancé Shane Tyner) of Clarkesville; grandmothers, Lillie Worley and Oveline Rice, both of Clarkesville; mother-in-law, Teresa Mans of Demorest; sister-in-law, Leigha Mans of Demorest; nieces, Chelsey Worley, Madison Worley and Lilly Worley; nephews,  Austin Worley and Braxton Worley; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 3 until 8 p.m.
