Funeral services for Audrey Holbrook Hulsey, 87, of Mt. Airy, are scheduled for 11 a.m. today, Oct. 11, at Hills Crossing Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Singletary officiating. Burial will follow in Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hulsey died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017.
Born Jan. 15, 1930, in Turnerville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Lois Yearwood Holbrook. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Minuard F. Hulsey; brothers, Horace Holbrook, Harold Holbrook, the Rev. Donald Holbrook and Jack Holbrook; and sisters, Joyce Payne and Louise Bowen.
Mrs. Hulsey was a homemaker and member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, music, crocheting and quilting.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Henzel of Royston and Edna and Joby McGahee of Hollywood; sons, Sammy Hulsey of Mt. Airy and Tim Hulsey of Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Patti Hulsey of Toccoa; sister, Juanita Partin of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jake McGahee, Clayton McGahee, Joanna Roa, John Russell Henzel, Brian Hulsey, Curtis Hulsey, Blake Hulsey and Clint Hulsey; great-grandchildren, Joseph McGahee, Mitchell McGahee and Gideon Roa; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Hulsey’s caregivers: Donna Godwin, Joyce Thompson, Pam Fossier and Tawana Still.
