James 'Jim' D. Esslinger
A celebration of life to honor James "Jim" D. Esslinger, 71, of Clarkesville, will be scheduled in July, date and time to be announced later.
Mr. Esslinger died June 10, 2019.
Born July 22, 1947, in Madison, Kansas, he was the son of Margaret "Maggie" Sullivan and the late William Esslinger.
The community has lost a local well-known business owner and operator of Hollywood Welding and Supply.
He traveled the world building and installing CPS Bagging equipment in many exotic countries. He taught economics at Piedmont College. For the past 40 years, he has owned and operated Hollywood Welding and Supply in Clarkesville.
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Maggie Sullivan of Marietta; wife, Julie Maddox Esslinger of Clarkesville; twin sons and their wives, Jeffery and Dana Esslinger of Cartersville and Greg and Anne Marie Esslinger of Atlanta; grandchildren, Mary Crawford, Davis and Abby. Jim also raised daughter, Jill Palmer and son, Jay Palmer of Toccoa; sister, Jan Parrish of Marietta; sister-in-law, Sarah Esslinger of Clarkesville; several nieces and nephews.
