Mushroom workshop set: Creating A Shiitake Mushroom Log will be the topic of a hands-on, outdoor event on Friday, Oct. 28 sponsored by the Headwaters Master Gardener volunteer group. Join fellow mushroom fanatics as you learn about Shiitake Mushroom Spores, inoculate your own personal mushroom log, receive instructions for care, and take your log home to enjoy the results. Fall Festival at Church of God: The annual Fall Festival at The Clarkesville Church of God will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
