The family of Alice M. Cooper, 80, of Alto, will have a private service at a later date.
Mrs. Cooper passed away Oct. 13, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
Mrs. Cooper was the daughter of the late Fredrick J. Roy Jr. and Alice B. Roy, of Florida. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, James D. Cooper; and her son, Roger Whitlock.
Surviving siblings are John A. Roy of Virginia, Fredrick J. Roy III of West Virginia, and Linda Montgomery of Florida. She was a mother of six, surviving children; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan and Larry Wilson, Tina Whitlock, and Karen and Greg Klausing; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy and Brandy Whitlock, and Ronald Whitlock; as well as 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cooper was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Mrs. Cooper's honor to St. Jude's Hospital or Boys Town Charity.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
