A memorial/celebration of life service for Alvin "Craig" Park, 78, of Cleveland, will be held at a later date.

  Mr. Park peacefully left this world to join our Lord in paradise March 27, 2021, with the help of the angels at Hospice of NGMC in Gainesville.

  Born May 28, 1942, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Alvin Park and Gladys Murray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Park Mackenzie; and brother, Kenneth Park.

  Shortly after moving to Florida in 1960, he joined the Navy where he proudly served in Puerto Rico and then around the world on the USS Enterprise until 1965. Craig went on to serve in the Lighthouse Point Florida Fire Department for 26 years as a firefighter and an EMT as well before retiring to Cleveland in 1999. After retirement, he became the assistant manager of the Helen Chamber of Commerce Festhalle where he loved serving for the next 15 years.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Patty Park; sons, Craig Park (Sue), and John Park; daughter, Bridget Park Patterson; grandchildren, Britney Park and RJ Patterson; and his children's mother, Barbara Park Nichols.
