A private graveside service for Birdie Fred King, 82, of Alto, will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. 

    Mrs. King passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. 

      Born June 25, 1938, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil King and Delia Coley King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ferris King and Lathan King. 

    Mrs. King was a joyful person who loved to laugh and talk to people. She was a member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church. 

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Eric Mangum, Marcus and Terri Mangum and Todd and Kim Irvin, all of Alto, and Michael and Tonia Irvin of Cornelia; grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Natasha Mangum of Atlanta, Ethan and Haley Irvin of Texas, and Brei Irvin of Alto; great-grandchildren, Aleaha Mangum, Devin Mangum, Robert Mangum, Tatiana Hammock, Kadin Mangum, Elizabeth Mangum, Riggins Irvin and James Irvin; great-great grandchild, Malachai Mangum. 

  Those in attendance are asked to please adhere to the public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.
