Funeral services for Christine Brady Blair, 87, of Mt. Airy, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2021, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Trent Smith and the Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Burrell officiating at the graveside.

  Mrs. Blair took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord Monday, June 28, 2021, following an extended illness.

    Born Sept. 26, 1933, in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Ben Brady and Ella Arminda Farmer Brady Fricks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett H. Blair; brothers, James Brady, Eugene "Buck" Brady, and Carson Brady; sisters, Irene Parker, Lurlene Hart, and Betty Ann Duckett.

Christine worked in her home for many years before her career with Habersham County Schools in food service for over 15 years. "Nanny Christine" as she was affectionately known was an avid flower gardener, but most of all enjoyed spending precious time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church where she was involved in various church activities including the B.M.W.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Roger Dale and Angela Blair, and Garnett Dwayne and Melanie Blair, all of Mt. Airy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mamie and Ron Arrendale of Clarkesville, and Geraldine and Andrew Cragg of Stark, Florida; grandchildren, Nathan Blair, Corey and Kezia Blair, Nicole and Logan Willard, Tabby Smith, Kayla Wade, and Ashley Hilland; great-grandchildren, Abbigail Grace Blair, Hunter Eli Blair, Jayden Wade, Jetta Wade, Ashton Willard, Garrison Willard, and  Jayla Grier; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
