A Celebration of Life service for Daniel Jack "Danny" Grier, 57, of Clarkesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Hillside Baptist Church in Cornelia.

Mr. Grier went home to be with the Lord Friday, Sept. 30, 2022.

Born March 22, 1965, in Demorest, he was a son of the late A.M. and Harriett Garrison Grier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Umberhandt Grier.

Danny attended Habersham Central High School and was a master auto-restoration specialist for most of his life. He was a hardworking man as well as a devoted husband, dedicated father, loving son, and brother. Danny would go out of his way to help anyone in need. In his spare time, he enjoyed car racing and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sons, D.J. Grier and A.J. Grier, both of Clarkesville; sisters, Helen Lewis of Fayetteville, Genelle Veal of Conyers, Linda Landers of Mount Airy, Penny Norton of Alto, and Judy Hogan of Cornelia; brother, David Grier of Lula; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help his two sons, D.J. and A.J., in c/o his sister, Judy Hogan, 512 Pine Grove Road, Cornelia, GA 30531.
