Funeral services for Donny Telford Brewer, 65, of Demorest, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Gary Heffner and Eddie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Brewer passed away Monday, May 2, 2022.
Born Aug. 1, 1956, he was a son of the late Telford William Brewer and Verbie Lou Jarrard Brewer. Donny was a cook at Ma Gooch's and Creek Side Deli off and on for 26 years and later retired from Freudenberg - NOK. He loved his family and expressed his giving personality by his volunteer work with Relay for Life and other charitable functions. He was a very detail-oriented decorator with unique taste. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to Cocoa Beach, estate sales, thrifting, working in his yard, cooking and high-end cars.
Survivors include his spouse, Bradley Brown of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Jill Brewer Barrett (Timothy Grady) of Cornelia; step-mother, Patsy "Pat" Brewer of Cornelia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynell Wade (Kenneth) of Demorest, Becky Gibson (Robbie) of Clarkesville, and Vicki Brewer Vinson of Cornelia; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Brewer (Louise) of Dahlonega, and Frank Ridlehoover of Hephzibah; mother-in-law, Bessie Brown of Mt. Airy; sisters-in-law, Deborah Cook of Cornelia, and Diane Moore (Alan) of Flowery Branch; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 and 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in Donny's memory.
