A memorial service will be held at a later date for Douglas Jason Hamilton, 45, of Cornelia.
Mr. Hamilton passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at his home.
Born Sept. 9, 1976, he was the son of David Hamilton and the late Gwendolyn Sue Kirkland.
Douglas served in the United States Navy where he was a hull maintenance technician.
He is survived by his father, David Hamilton and stepmother, Kathleen; his fiancé of 5 years, Tina Dotson; one brother, Stacey Hansen; one sister, Jessica Brantley; two uncles, Larry Hamilton and Michael (Christy) Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Hunter Funeral Home is assisting the Hamilton family.
