Funeral services for Gary Dale Bryson, 67, of Clarkesville, were held Tuesday, June 7, at Hillside Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Shane Jenkins officiated. Interment followed in the Victory Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Bryson went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 2, 2022.
Born May 15, 1955, in Demorest, he was a son of Edna Owens Bryson of Demorest and the late F. Ray Bryson.
Gary was a graduate of Habersham Central High School, class of 1972. He retired as a sergeant after 18 years of dedicated service with Toccoa Police Department. In his spare time, Gary was an avid outdoorsman and gardener. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter and fiance, Shannon Bryson and Josh Sosebee of Mount Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Evan and Kimberly Bryson of Baldwin; stepson, Israel Segers of Clarkesville; mother, Edna Owens Bryson of Demorest; brothers and their spouses, Harold Bryson (Cheryl Lusnia) of Cleveland and Steve Bryson (Natalie) of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Salayna McClanahan, Aralynn McClanahan, and Jack Segers; and nephews, Alex and Luke Bryson.
