Homegoing services for James Harold "Mullet" Rudeseal Sr., 85, of the Fairview Community, Demorest were held Sunday, June 13, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. A.B. Stewart, Michael King, and Joe Jones officiating. Interment followed in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Grant Reeves Honor Guard.

  Mr. Rudeseal took his heavenly flight home at his residence Friday morning, June 11, 2021, following an extended illness.

  Born June 5, 1936, in Toccoa, he was a son of the late James Purnell and Hattie Smith Rudeseal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Rudeseal.

  James served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 until 1958. He retired as a heavy equipment operator with Hansen Aggregates with over 35 years of dedicated service. James was a faithful member of the Oakwood First Church.

  Survivors include his loving wife, Josephine Gray Rudeseal of the Fairview Community, Demorest; children, Gloria and Lynn Kidd of Gainesville,  James H. Rudeseal Jr. of Dahlonega, Bobby and Lynn Rudeseal of Southaven, Mississippi, and Carolyn and Joe Jones of Murrayville; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Howard and Ola Mae Rudeseal of Toccoa; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
