Funeral services for Janet Marie Gosnell Smith, 69, of Frankfort, Indiana, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Brion Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Davy Harris officiating.
Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.
Born Sept. 8, 1950, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Velma Noblet Gosnell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Earl Smith; son, James Smith; three brothers; and two sisters.
She was a caretaker with Habersham Retreat. Mrs. Smith loved reading, puzzle books and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Michael Holcomb of Tiger; daughter-in-law, Bridget Smith of Frankfort, Indiana; grandchildren and spouse, Madison and Bryan Mason, Mason Crow, Morgan Crow, Jake Holcomb and Josh Holcomb; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris and Curt Stinnett of Pelzer, South Carolina, Judy Rudeseal, and Betty Hathaway.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
