Funeral services for Joyce Dillashaw Armour, 70, of Alto, were held Tuesday, July 6, at Bethesda Fellowship with Pastor John Graham and Pastor Tim Beasley officiating. Interment followed in B.C. Grant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Armour was called to her Heavenly home Saturday, July 3, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was known as "Nanny" to all. 

Born Oct. 1, 1950, in Clarkesville, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Cleveland and Mae Rose Thompson Dillashaw. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Swayne Armour; and two grandchildren, Kylen and Skylar. 

Mrs. Armour was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith. She was a member of Bethesda Fellowship where she was active in the WMU. She faithfully served the Lord and loved reading her Bible in the mornings as she drank her coffee and fed the birds. 

Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Robin Armour and Stanley Williams of Alto, Melissa and Kent Adams of Mt Airy, and Angela and Chad Waters of Clarkesville; brother, Dwight Dillashaw of Alto; sisters, Patsy Chitwood and Martha Smith, both of Alto; grandchildren, Amanda, Tambra, Kristi, Chance, Melinda, Bryan, Merinda, Hannah, Cody, Caleb, Jaston, Alex, and Jordan; 19 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
