Memorial services for Lenora Lucille Burnett Perry, 99, will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Perry passed away March 25, 2021.

Born Nov. 29, 1922, in Suwanee, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard Burnett and Lenora Roberts Burnett, both of Suwanee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry H Perry; her oldest son, Henry Alan Perry; and her grandson, John Meriwether Perry.

She passed as she lived, on her own terms, at peace with God in her own home surrounded by those who loved her. She will be sorely missed for her joy, her love of life, her beauty, her strength and her style.

She loved travel, music, theatre, books, shopping and most of all, her family. She was also everyone’s "Gonny," as she was known to her family and many friends. She belonged to the Cornelia Garden Club, loved flowers and plants, especially lilies and daffodils and made beautiful arrangements of them. She was a member of the Tomochichi Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Three Arts Club, a lifelong friend of the Cornelia Library, and avid bridge player who received her Life Master certificate.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Burnett Perry (his wife, Celenda), and David Leonard Perry (his wife, Yadira); as well as 13 grandchildren, Henry "Hap," Brian, Lenora, Kimberly Claire "KC" (her husband, Kurt), David Jr., Jason, Georgia, Teal, Alexander, Katherine (her wife, Suli), Ligia (her husband, Gus), Zachary, and Beatrice. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Chase, Andres, Peighton, Karson, Kaylen, Henry, Santiago, Paxton, AJ, Micaela, Carver, and Briana; as well as her close niece, Kim (her husband, Ellis); and a multitude of extended family, friends, and other admirers.

In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to contribute to the Circle of Hope in Habersham County, the Cornelia Library, or the Habersham County Animal Shelter.
