A memorial service for Mac Crow, 81, of Dalton, was held Sunday, July 18, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Brian Clark officiating. The family received friends in the church atrium before the service.

  Mr. Crow passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center, Dalton.

  Born Jan. 25, 1940, in Cornelia, he was the son of the late Ruth and Paul Crow. 

  Mr. Crow is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret Puckett Crow; children, Jennifer (Butch) Sanders, and Jeffrey Mac (Sandy) Crow; five grandchildren, Lindsay (Cole) Bennett, Heather (Katharine) Cooper, Michael (Julianne) Cantrell, Sydney (Cody) Caldwell, and Anna Elisa Crow; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Crow attended Georgia Tech, Piedmont College and the University of Georgia. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the John Marshall Law School in 1964. He was with State Farm Insurance's Claims Department for 38 years, serving as Claims Superintendent for the last 25 years.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dalton. He volunteered with Keep Dalton-Whitfield Beautiful, DOC-UP, and SCORE of Dalton. He was a member of both the Lion's Club and Rotary Club of Dalton. He received his Eagle Scout Award at the age of 12 in Cornelia.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Hamilton Medical Center, Hamilton Hospice, Regency Park Healthcare, their church family, and their many friends in our community for their many acts of kindness and compassion in the past several months.
