A funeral mass for Martin Guillen Sandoval, 53, of Cornelia, was held Monday, Dec. 23, at St. Mark Catholic Church with Fr. José Luis Hernandez-Ayala, officiating.

Mr. Sandoval passed away Dec. 18, 2019.

Born March 26, 1966, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, he was the son of Felipe Guillen Roman and Consuelo Sandoval Diaz de Leon.  

He was a HVAC Technician with A & A Electric and he was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. Mr. Sandoval was an avid baseball fan; his favorite team was the Boston Red Sox. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he spent a great deal of time with them. Mr. Sandoval loved spending time in the outdoors and he had a servant's heart, always doing a favor for someone in need.

Survivors include his parents, Felipe Guillen Roman and Consuelo Sandoval Diaz de Leon of Guadalajara, Mexico; widow, Ana Maria Guillen of Middlesex, North Carolina; daughters, Luz Maria Anderson (Thomas) of Mt. Airy, and Consuelo Guillen (Jonatan Romero-Ortiz) of Middlesex, North Carolina; sons, Martin Guillen Jr. of Cornelia, and Carlos Guillen of Middlesex, North Carolina; sisters, Maria Guillen of Alto, and Aurorra Guerrero of Gainesville; as well as seven grandchildren.
