Funeral services for Shirley Wilda White Edwards, 70, of Martin, were held Monday, June 14, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Ted Armour officiating. Interment followed in Alto Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Born June 11, 1950, in Gainesville, she was a daughter of the late Charles White and Wilda Phillips White Burton Teague. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Edwards.
Mrs. Edwards was a great cook, and everyone loved her famous oatmeal cookies. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and canning. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving are her son and girlfriend, Chris Morrow and Julie Brayman of Martin; grandchildren, Chris Morrow Jr. and Nikki Morrow; brother, Ralph White of Banks County; sister, Janie Contestabile of Gwinnett County; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
