Funeral services for Sophronia Wade Petitt, 89, of Cleveland, were held Tuesday, Dec. 3, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Flynn and the Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Interment followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Petitt passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019.
Born in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Margie Wade. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Petitt; brothers, Roosevelt, Paul, Dewey, Grady, Richard and Buford; and sisters, Grace Lynch Plott and Charlotte Freeman.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Sam Craven of Cleveland; sister, Joyce Turner; and a host of in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
