Funeral services for Stanley Richard "Ricky" Arrowood, 66, of Mt. Airy, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Connie Berry officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Arrowood passed away Friday, De. 10, 2021.
Born May 21, 1955, in Cumming, he was a son of the late Clyde Arrowood and the late Ethel Nations Freeman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Arrowood; sisters, Connie Arrowood and Barbara Arrowood; and by his granddaughter, Braelyn Nixon.
Ricky was self-employed in the flooring industry for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed landscaping his yard and painting houses. Most of all, he enjoyed precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife, Rita Sullens-Arrowood of Mt. Airy; daughter and spouse, Connie Arrowood and Tyler Lewis Collins of Mt. Airy; son, David Arrowood of Mt. Airy; daughter-in-law, Bridgett McConnell of Cornelia; brothers, Jimmy Arrowood, Gene Arrowood, Clarence Arrowood, and Earl Arrowood; sister, Joyce Jones; grandchildren, Ashley Thomason, Aaliyah Grier, Scarlett Grier, Briella Nixon, Raelynn Nixon, Conner Arrowood, and Alexis Jarrard; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the service hour Wednesday, Dec. 15.
