  Funeral services for Thomas Edward "Buck" Bellamy, 83, of Mount Airy, were held Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest.

  Mr. Bellamy went home to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at his residence.

  Born Oct. 24, 1938, in Banks County, he was a son of the late Emmitt Pierce and Gladys McDuffie Bellamy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Bowen Bellamy; son-in-law, Tommy Gray; sisters, Francine Ward, Ruth Barrett, Patsy Trotter, and Jo Ann Coker; brothers, Roger Bellamy, James Bellamy, C.T. Bellamy, and Robert E. "Bob" Bellamy.

  Buck worked as a supervisor with Clarkesville Mill where he retired with over 40 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Most of all, Buck was a devoted husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He was affectionately known as "Papa Buck" to his grandchildren. Buck was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

  Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Rhodonna Bellamy; daughter, Rhonda Bellamy Gray; grandchildren, Lauren and Jake Siler, Kelsie Gray and Devin Welborn, and Kylie Gray and Hogan Pitts; great-grandchildren, Cohen Siler, Laken Welborn, and Ridge Welborn; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Leon Wilkinson; brothers-in-law, Omer Ray Coker, and Billy Trotter; sister-in-law, Elsie Bowen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

  Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, in memory of Thomas Edward "Buck" Bellamy, by visiting stjude.org/donate.
