Funeral services for W. Ray Loudermilk, 69, of Demorest, were held Saturday, March 20, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Walter Singletary officiating. Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  

    Mr. Loudermilk passed away March 17, 2021, following a period of declining health.

    Born Feb. 3, 1952, he was the son of Olene Smith Loudermilk and the late Haskell Crawford Loudermilk. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Nicholaus Ray "Nick" Loudermilk.

  He was the owner and operator of North Georgia Doors, Inc. for over 30 years. Ray was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed working on old cars, watching westerns, and was also an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his mother, Olene Smith Loudermilk of Mt. Airy; stepsons, Jason Blackburn (Missy) of Alto, and Bart Blackburn (Carissa) of Alto; brothers, William Loudermilk of Mt. Airy, Tim Loudermilk (Kathy) of Cullman, Alabama, and Haskell Loudermilk of Mt. Airy; sister, Sheila Ramsey of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Austin Blackburn, Madison Blackburn, Caleb Blackburn, and Brooke Blackburn; eight nieces and nephews; nine great- nieces and great-nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to David and Donna Ledbetter, Paul Arria, Bobby Palmer, and Keith Ivester, all of the nurses and caregivers of Magnolia Hills, as well as Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center for the love and care they have given to Ray.
