A time of remembrance for Wanda Myers Thompson, 76, of Alto, was held Thursday, Oct. 21, at Whitfield Funeral Home and Crematory, South Chapel.

Mrs. Thompson went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021.

Born May 22, 1945, in Alto, she was the daughter of the late John and Izora Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Brenda Gail Myers and Elaine Myers Manus; brothers, Marshall Myers and Hamp Myers; and grandson, Daniel A. Allison.

Mrs. Thompson was of the congregational holiness faith.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a devoted homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband of 31 years, James L. Thompson of Alto; daughter, Lora J. Wright of Cleveland;  sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy D. and Johnnie Wright of Alto, and Jerry C.  and Doreen Wright of Gainesville; step-son, Jackie Thompson of Gainesville;  step-daughter and step-son-law,  Robin and Alan Porter of Gainesville;  sisters, Geraldine Nunnally of Cornelia, and Carol Liles of Baldwin;  sister-in-law, Joyce Myers of Demorest;  11 grandchildren and step-grandchildren;  and 11 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
