Private memorial services will be held for Diana Marie Smith Flynn, 75, of Jacksonville, Florida.

Ms. Flynn passed away Feb. 8, 2022, at Dolphin Pointe Healthcare in Jacksonville, Florida, following an extended illness.

Born May 27, 1946, in northeast Georgia, Diana was  the daughter of the late Byron Reynolds and Bertha Bennett Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Reynolds Davis; her brothers, Cecil Reynolds and Denver Reynolds; her daughter, Rachel Ellen Flynn Holmes; and her two grandsons, Emory Levi Glen Burdeshaw and Carson Micheal Burdeshaw.

She attended high school in Deland, Florida, and received a certificate in office technology from Lanier Technical College in Flowery Branch. She retired from Avery Dennison Corporation after many years as a loyal and hardworking employee.

Diana was a homemaker and she loved the beach and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed classic country music, and she was of the Christian faith. Diana will also be remembered by many for her willingness to help those in need prior to her declining health.

Diana is survived by her brother, Steve Reynolds and children, Paul Flynn, Sharon Goldsmith, Melody Smith, and Darrell Smith. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Kayla Burdeshaw, Blake Wigington, Ansley Holmes, and Daniel Flynn; and a great-granddaughter, Marissa Burdeshaw. She also leaves behind many beloved friends and nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel, Demorest.
