Graveside services for Paul Franklin Skeggs Jr., 74, of Homer, were held Monday, March 15, at Athens Memory Gardens, with Dr. Brian James officiating.
Mr. Skeggs passed away Friday, March 12, 2021.
Born Sept. 26, 1946, in Pensacola, Florida, he was the son of the late Paul Franklin Skeggs Sr. and Patricia Marie Matthews Skeggs.
He was retired from the Dekalb County Fire Department with 27 years of loyal and dedicated service, having formed a brotherhood and fellowship with his fellow firemen that remains today. Mr. Skeggs was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Michele Ardolina-Skeggs of Homer; son and daughter-in-law, Jarrod and Ginger Skeggs of Flowery Branch; brother and sister-in-law, Hiram and Paige Skeggs of Dewy Rose; and grand-children, Stephen, Brittanie, and Averi.
