   Funeral services for Linda Ann Mauldin Gailey, 70, of Baldwin, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Trotter and the Rev. David Carithers officiating.  Interment will follow the service in New Birth Baptist Church Cemetery in Baldwin.

   Mrs. Gailey passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021.

   Born Dec. 27, 1950, in Clarkesville, she was the daughter of Mayzelle Aycock Mauldin and the late Hubert Ray Mauldin. In addition to her father, Mrs. Gailey was preceded in death by her husband, Finess Nathaniel Gailey; son-in-law, Jeremy Michael Spivey; and sister, Patricia Pauline Gailey.

   Mrs. Gailey was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, reading and writing. She had written numerous books, stories and novels. Mrs. Gailey was a member of New Birth Baptist Church.    

   Survivors include her mother, Mayzelle Aycock Mauldin of Baldwin; daughter, Sherry Spivey of Baldwin; daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Eddie Jenkins of Baldwin, and Selena and Paul Manley of Baldwin; brother, Ray Mauldin of Baldwin; sister, Mary Mauldin Gailey of Baldwin; grandchildren, McKayla Jenkins Turpin, Katerina English (Zeke), Blake Manley and Cody Manley; great -grandchildren Gauge English, Case English, Mylah English and Liam Turpin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 18, from 4 until 7 p.m.
