Funeral services for Carolyn Black Landrum, 90, of Clarkesville, were held Monday, Aug. 30, at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Private interment followed the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Landrum passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

  Born March 30, 1931, in Clarkesville, she was the daughter of the late T. Lester and Oma Gastley Black. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Landrum was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Black and John Larry Black; sisters, Beverly Black Coffer and Margaret Black Cruce; brothers- in-law, Tyson Cruce, M. L. Coffer, Bill Bellisle and Dr. Charles Green.

After graduating from Clarkesville High School in 1948, Mrs. Landrum worked for several years at Carey's Department Store. She then began her career with Mountain Resources and served with over 44 years of loyal service. Mrs. Landrum was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she taught first grade Sunday school for 35 years.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Everett Landrum of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jean Landrum of Snellville; daughters and sons-in-law,  Lane and Stan Kirk of Kennesaw, and Mary and Todd McDuffie of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Jean Black of Clarkesville; sisters, Barbara Green of Clarkesville, and Beth Black of Clarkesville; sisters-in-law, Linda Gail Black (Hayward Marshall) of Clarkesville, and Carol Black of Duluth; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to caregiver, Debbie Wagoner of Homer for the love and care shown to their family during this time.
