Funeral services for Eula Mae Richard Kimbrell, 87, of Sparta formerly of Moulton, Alabama, were held Saturday, Aug. 28, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Mickey Umberhant officiating. Interment followed in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Kimbrell passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2021.
Born Jan. 4, 1934, in Stephens County, she was a daughter of the late Lynard Richard and Clara Bessie Whitmore Brock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Kimbrell; son, Dennis Cunningham; daughter, Dianne Barrett; grandson, Robert Trotter; son-in-law, Lamar Holcombe; brother, Glen Richard; sisters, Judy Pressley, Janet Robinson and Karen Wade.
Mrs. Kimbrell worked for Lake City Healthcare for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, sewing and fishing. She loved spending time with her family and was of the Holiness faith.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Anne Holcombe of Sparta; son-in-law, Michael Barrett; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Barrett of Cornelia; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
