Funeral services for Kimberly "Kim" Michele Jones, 50, of Demorest, were held Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with the Rev. Anthony Shore officiating. Interment followed in Return Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Ms. Jones passed away Friday, October 14, 2022.

Born Feb. 26, 1972, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of Richard and Gail Wade Jones of Demorest. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Grady and Pauline Wade; paternal grandparents, Billie and Barbara Jones; and uncle, Kenneth Paul Jones.

Kim was a loving and caring person inside and out. She loved to be around people and loved to help those in need, no matter the situation. She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was very proud of her alma matter. She enjoyed cheering on the "Dawgs" in any sport. Kim pursued a career in education after graduation in the Banks County School System. She then transitioned to the Lumpkin County School System, where she served for over 20 years. One of her greatest pleasures in her career was to read to children at Lumpkin County Elementary School. Kim was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed visiting different churches and regularly attended Free Chapel Worship Center. Kim will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her nephews.

She is survived by her loving parents, Richard and Gail Wade Jones of Demorest; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and April Jones of Cleveland; nephews, Jackson and Wes Jones of Cleveland; uncles and aunts, Verner and Joyce Wade; and Phillip and Joan Jones.

Whitefield Funeral Home & Crematory, North Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
