The Habersham County Board of Commissioners approved a total millage rate of 22.791 mills Monday night. Using standard exemptions on the average $350,000 home, a total of $3,147.39 is estimated to be paid in taxes using this rate. That is broken down to $1,551.26 for the county’s General Fund, $1,248.62 for the school system, $155.96 to go toward the Hospital Bond Fund and $191.54 for Emergency Medical Services.
