Habersham County Canning Plant open
The Habersham County Canning Plant, located at 901 Fairview School Rd. in Demorest is now open for members of the community to come and process their foods in small and large quantities. Hours of operation are Monday from 7 a.m. to noon, Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 7 a.m. to noon. Glass jars are $0.35 per jar. Cans are $0.90 per can. Customers must provide their own jars, but cans are provided by the plant. Customers are asked not to enter the facility if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
