Drug investigators made a trafficking bust in Habersham County just before Thanksgiving.
On Nov. 22, Brandi Hurt, 41, of Cornelia was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine in Hall County and Habersham County.
While investigating trafficking methamphetamine in Hall County and Lumpkin County, police conducted a traffic stop on Hurt and found one ounce of methamphetamine in her car with a street value of $600.
Law enforcement further determined there was methamphetamine at her residence in Habersham County. A search warrant was obtained and executed at 3510 Pea Ridge Road, Cornelia, where approximately half a kilogram of methamphetamine was found with a street value of $6,750.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement were involved in the investigation.
The investigation is still active and ongoing.
