Board selects next assistant superintendent

The board voted unanimously to approve David Leenman as the next assistant superintendent for the Habersham County School System. Leenman has a total of 19 years in education, with nine spent in an administrative position as the Habersham Central Ninth Grade Academy principal.

“Mr. Leenman has a lot of important skills. He’s a good communicator, he’s a hard worker, and he loves the students,” up-and-coming Superintendent Patrick Franklin said. “I think he’s going to do a wonderful job, and I’m looking forward to working with him for many years.”
