County gives hospital $6 million; Early merger with Northeast Georgia Health approved

Habersham County's Board of Commissioners officially approved a $6 million line of credit for Habersham Medical Center to keep the hospital financially viable and capable of paying critical vendors.

The hospital also will transfer to Northeast Georgia Health Systems on an accelerated schedule by July 1.
