Body

A group of local business owners formed a coalition to buy pizza for all the nurses at Habersham Medical Center on Wednesday, which was Nurses Day across the nation. Tim Bryant of Georgia Farm Bureau and Matt Hayes of Hayes Cheverolet made some calls and gathered plenty of help in an instant to help feed healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. The pizzas came from AJ’s Pizza Pub in Cornelia, and other business owners helping out included Alan NeSmith of The Northeast Georgian, Drew Echols of Jaemor Farms; Jeff Ferguson of Piedmont Metal Processing; Jo Whitt of Golden Sun Spa & Boutique; Chip Brooks and Bruce Coleman of Omega Technologies; and Jimmy Kowalsky of Habersham County Farm Bureau.
