Early voting offered in Clarkesville this week

Early voting for the U.S. Senate runoff will take place in Habersham County from Monday, Nov. 28 through Friday, Dec. 2, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville.

It was also announced last week that the Habersham South precinct for the Dec. 6 runoff has been moved from the Cornelia Community House to the old Community Bank & Trust Operations Center (old Ingles building down from Belk) at 365 Habersham County Shopping Center in Cornelia.

Banks County voters who live in Baldwin will still vote at the recreation department in Homer.

Habersham County did not have early voting on Saturday, Nov. 26, as it was deemed optional after a court ruling made it legal to offer it.

Election Day for the final decision for the U.S. Senate seat between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker will be Tuesday, Dec. 6.
