Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is still in search of Mays Arthur Tomlin, 16, of Mt. Airy who has been reported missing since Oct. 19, 2019 according to HCSO Public Information Officer Matt Wurtz. Tomlin’s location is unknown and it is unclear as to what state he could be in.

“We’re still actively looking for him. He does have a history of running away,” said Sgt. Richard Stein with the HCSO Special Victims Unit.

He said with the amount of time that has transpired, Tomlin is believed to be out of state, Stein said.

Stein said that they have been told Tomlin could be in Tennessee, Texas and California. He confirmed that Tomlin’s father lives in Texas.

Wurtz added that assistance from the public in locating Tomlin is appreciated. Those with information are urged to contact Stein with the HCSO at the 24 hour dispatch line (706) 839-0500 Ext. 0 or the non-emergency 911 phone number (706) 778-3911.
