Missing Cornelia woman found dead, arrest made

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested a Cornelia man in relation to the death of a Cornelia woman who went missing last week. 

The GBI and Habersham County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) found remains believed to be 25-year-old Minelys Rodriguez, of Cornelia who went missing near the Cornelia Walmart on Oct. 22.

The GBI arrested 24-year-old Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches in Atlanta on a kidnapping charge related to Rodriguez's disappearance. He was booked at the Habersham County Detention Center. A Facebook post from HCSO said Rivera-Sanches will be charged with murder
