A graveside service for Agnes Marie Davis Moore, 80, of Mt. Airy, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Trent Smith officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery. Everyone is encouraged to adhere to public health and social distancing guidelines.

Mrs. Moore passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.

  Born Sept. 17, 1939, in Madison, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Dorsey and Georgey Roberts Davis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Perry Davis and Earl Davis; and sisters, Gladys Pitts, Ethel Owenby, and Juanita Lovell.

Mrs. Moore retired from Piedmont Automotive, worked with Carwood Manufacturing, and was also a cosmetologist. She was an active member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught AWANAS, and helped with the Food Bank. Mrs. Moore enjoyed shopping, traveling, vacationing, sewing, cooking, sports, and coaching softball and basketball.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Billy Joe Moore of Mt. Airy; son, Joey Moore of Mt. Airy; daughters and son-in-law, Donna White of Mt. Airy, and Nancy Moore Stowe and Rick of Houston, Texas; grandchildren and spouses, Brentley and Tiffany Jaworski of Baldwin, Cody and Lillie Brewer of Alto, and Kalei Brewer of Lula and her fiancé, Caleb Davis of Oakwood; great-grandson, Braxton Jaworski; brothers and sister-in-law, Kermit Davis of Mt. Airy, and Glen and Lou Davis of Mt. Airy; sisters and brother-in-law, Pauline Underwood, Anna Quillen, and Mildred Stephens, all of Mt. Airy, and Elane and Wendell Echols.

  Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721.
