Celebration of life services for Angela Nichole Pasteur (Roberson), 49, of Bartlett, Tennessee, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, at First Baptist Church of Swannanoa, 503 Park St., Swannanoa, NC 28778.

Mrs. Pasteur celebrated her "birthday" into eternal peace Saturday, April 17, 2021, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Born March 6, 1972, in Asheville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Marguerite and Tony Roberson of Clayton.

She attended Habersham Central High School and graduated from North Georgia Technical School. After moving to Columbus for the first official job of her photography career, she met her future best friend and husband, E.J. Pasteur, and married him July 12, 1997.

From Columbus to East Lansing, Michigan to Fredericksburg, Virginia to Flint, Michigan to Atlanta, then to Memphis, Tennessee she was able to contribute her talents and passion through photography. In all the communities she lived, she was always focused on helping others and giving back. Nichole was an elder in her church and developed an after-school program for under-privileged youth. She volunteered as a leader of her son's youth and high school wrestling programs and was a troop leader for Boy Scouts of America. She had a passion for animals and always had at least one puppy from rescue whom she adored. Most recently, as she endured rigorous treatment, she nonetheless volunteered at the Memphis Museum of Science & History.

Nichole was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and neighbor. She was known for her ability to make everyone feel special. Loved ones describe her as one of the kindest souls on earth. She had the vision to see things better and the determination to make it happen. Even while battling the difficult side-effects of treatment, she was always positive and never complained. She was a warrior as she faced down cancer with incredible strength and determination. Her life was driven by her faith and unshakable trust in God.

Nichole is survived by her devoted husband of 23 years, E.J. Pasteur; their son, Tre (19); her parents, Marguerite and Tony Roberson of Clayton; her sister, Melisa (Mike) Cook; their children, Palmer and Phoebe; her sister, Debra (Stan) Clark; and their children, Ava, Spencer, Oliver and Grayson, aunt, Linda Roberson; uncle, Scott Roberson; in-laws, Micki and Ernie Pasteur; Tracy Pasteur, Jacob Zimmerman, and Nicole and Andre Dandridge, and Indira Dandridge.

In addition to her immediate family, she had an entire entourage of extended family and friends throughout the east coast and thousands of prayer warriors around the world who love Nichole's sweet soul are feeling her loss.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her honor at metavivor.org or ASPCA.org.

Nichole is with her heavenly father, is healed, and will be in our hearts forever.
