Funeral services for Ann Frye Adams, 76, of Clarkesville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, August 1, at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville with the Rev. Brion Williams and the Rev. Tony Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Clarkesville City Cemetery.

    Ms. Adams went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 28, 2021, following an extended illness.

  Born Feb. 7, 1945, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Loris Wilfred and Coma Lee Lewis Frye. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Owen Tucker Adams; and her brother, Fred Larry Frye.

Ann lived her entire life in Habersham County. She started her career with the Office of the Ordinary and later was elected Probate Judge from 1992 until her retirement in 2008. Ann faithfully served the citizens of Habersham County for over 45 years. She was a people person who was always willing to help those in need and believed in doing what was right. Ann was an avid animal enthusiast. Most of all, she enjoyed precious time with her sons and their families, often traveling to support her grandchildren in their many endeavors. Ann was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Renee Adams, Scott and Chastity Adams, and Stuart and Cherish Adams; grandchildren, Hayden Adams, Colby Adams, Grayson Adams, and Jackson Adams; other relatives, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday and again from 1 p.m. until the service hour Sunday.
