Funeral services for Annie Lois Hill Campos, 83, of Covington, were held Tuesday, August 2, at Chattahoochee Baptist Church. Chris Anderson and Bill Gravely officiated. Interment followed the service at the Chattahoochee Baptist Church cemetery.

Mrs. Campos passed away Friday, July 29, 2022.

Born May 28, 1939, in Homer, Mrs. Campos was the daughter of the late Frank and Addie Mae Bennett Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Olegario Ole Zavala Campos; son, Curtis Dean Powell; and brothers, James Hill and Bobby Hill.

She lived her life in service to her family, a homemaker who was always thinking of others first. She was a loving woman who never met a stranger. She loved music - she loved to sing and dance, and she was a talented artist who painted, crocheted, and made beautiful jewelry. Everything she made, she made with love. She also enjoyed watching westerns and just being around those she loved.  Mrs. Campos was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include son, Robert David Powell and his wife, Julie of Marietta; daughter, Velda Denise Powell Coleman and husband, Lamar of Mt. Airy; daughter, Amanda Dolores Campos McAdams and husband, Damon of Covington; sister, Mildred Hill Evatt of Seneca, South Carolina; grandchildren, Jonathon Powell, Ian Powell, Evan Powell, Catee Powell, Cliff Coleman, Justin Coleman, Krista Garrett, Dominic Pittman, Chris Powell Cooper, and Greg Powell; as well as 15 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
