A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Barbara Joann Gormon Richard, 83, of Cornelia.
Mrs. Richard passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
Born July 29, 1938, in New Castle, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late James L. Gormon and Johanna Smith of Indiana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Elie Richard Jr. and sister, Donna Jean Chausse.
Mrs. Richard was a homemaker who enjoyed playing BINGO. She was a member of the Sertoma Club and the Trailblazers Four Wheel Drive Club. She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include son, Curtis Elie Richard of Toccoa; daughters and son-in-law, Janette Renee Cowart (Jonathan Brad) of Clarkesville and Donna Jean Richard of Franklin, North Carolina; grandchildren, Curtis E. Richard Jr., Alexis C. Taylor, Mackenzie J. Richard, Brittany R. Richard, Ashley Hopper, James O. Ramey Jr., Gabriel Vermillion, Victoria J. Turpin, Jasper E. Richard-Turpin, and Isabelle R. Richard-Turpin; and great-grandchildren, Jason Taylor and Elijah Z. Willoughby.
